Volunteer Opportunities

Shoreline Stewards…

Volunteers make up the core of the MLWP.  Volunteers set goals, plan projects and monitor them.  Volunteers are needed to adopt habitats and care for them through a variety of hands-on, maintenance and monitoring activities. Volunteer steward groups provide opportunities to participate and take pride in the protection of our local community and our environmental assets.

Volunteers are also needed to attend MLWP meetings and give valuable input and set priorities for natural resources protection and restoration projects.

MLWP committees need volunteers, too.  Two of the standing committees focus on fish and wildlife habitat restoration and public access to natural resources.

The MLWP would like to establish a fundraising committee to help support the development of natural resources and water quality improvement projects.
