Founded in 1993, the Muskegon Lake Watershed Partnership is a non-profit, community-based, volunteer partnership organization that collaborates with grassroots, local, state, regional, federal and international partners, meets monthly, and plans and implements programs to restore Muskegon Lake and its tributaries to a healthy Great Lakes ecosystem. In 2018, the MLWP developed the Muskegon Lake Action Plan to help prioritize and guide future watershed actions.
We are a proud group of local citizens with various backgrounds including diverse stakeholders such as environmental professionals, residents, Muskegon Lake landowners, scientists, professors, business professionals, outdoor enthusiasts, stewards, creatives, retirees and concerned citizens. It is also important to us to strive for a racially and ethnically diverse representational balance. Our monthly public meetings are listed on our website and publicized on our Facebook page and groups and are open to the public. Join us in making a positive difference for Muskegon and for future generations!
